Homework Policy

Homework Expectations
  • You are responsible for doing homework to the best of your ability and having homework completely finished before entering the classroom on the due date.
  •  According to EJHS homework policy, students will receive a due date to get full credit and a due date for late work. The late date is automatically 3 days after the due date. A ZERO will be given after the 3 days.
    • Example: If the due date is Wednesday, the late date will be on Friday.
  •  If you choose to turn in the work within the 3 day grace period, 10% will be taken off for a late paper. This helps to teach responsibility and acceptance of consequences.
  • Homework should be done in pencil or blue/black ink only.
  • You have been given an assignment notebook. Please fill in the assignments given out. This will help all of us keep organized and successful.
  • Homework may be corrected for credit. So if you miss a few questions, correct your paper and turn it into the corrections box. You must put the corrected work in the right box in order to get credit.

Absences

*Those with excused absences will be allowed to make up assignments, quizzes, and tests upon returning to school. You will have 2 days for each absent day to make up the work missed. You are responsible for asking me before or after class about your missed work. Homework assignments will be posted on the side calendar with extras in the file folder below. Please do not ask about it during instruction. If we have a down time, ask me then. You need to be the one to get your missed work and arrange times with me to make up work.
